Have you ever had a dream that you were being supercheeky to Andrew Bird? Did you by any chance mishear the lyrics to his song Nomenclature as “Nommy Creature”? Yes? Then, like us, you probably took the next logical step and stayed up really late getting wonky on red wine and composing a piano duet theme tune for Monsieur Nommy Creature who eats EVERYTHING and loves to P.A.R.T.Y! Wow!
Here’s our one: Listen to “Nommy Creature” now!
Be sure to send us yours as soon as you can! xx
UPDATE: First review of “Nommy Creature” received!
It’s good! Sort of makes you quite happy! If you played this in the supermarket, I’d buy everything!

“The Discovery hut was a large strong building, but was so draughty and cold in comparison with the ship, which was moored one hundred yards away, that it was, during the first year, never used for living quarters. Its sole use was as a storehouse, and a large supply of rough stores, such as flour, cocoa, coffee, biscuit, and tinned meat, was left there in the event of its being used as a place of retreat should any disaster overtake the ship. During the second year occasional parties camped inside the hut, but no bunks or permanent sleeping quarters were ever erected.” – Ernest Shackleton
In Werner Herzog’s documentary Encounters at the End of the World there is an interior tracking shot of Discovery Hut, showing all the ”rough stores” left exactly as they were when Shackleton and Scott were last there. The tins of meat include such things as sardines, corned beef etc but also, less familiar; “Munced Collops”. What are Munced Collops? Are they delicious?
Delicious or not, they are the inspiration for the Caffeinated Cuddles School Camp Food Roster. Refresh again and again for cheap laughs at the expense of school cooks of yesteryear. Bon appetit!
